Running at Deep Creek Lake

Running around Deep Creek Lake is not for the faint of heart. There are hills...big hills. The best part was the cool morning temperature; the worst part was running on major roads with very little shoulder.

You can always count on Deep Creek Lake to provide cooler temperatures and challenging hills. It was nice to run outside of the city and really take in a big dose of nature. Steven rode a ton of miles on his bike as well. Besides nice time to reconnect with family, we visited the Maiers, where we stayed for Christmas 2012. The family put on a massive spread for dinner and were so welcoming (their friends were too).

Five-mile runs have been full of killer hills! It has been so fun to spend time with family and to relax.
