Wagshal's, Fly Over, Gardens, Race for the Cure

Julia is home and we are stocking up on meat! London Broil, roasted chicken, chicken liver, country sausage, kielbasa, genoa salami, roast beef, steamship roast, lamb, bacon, goat cheese, pears. Alex at Wagshal's is the best--so friendly, always smiling and providing excellent service! Thank you, Alex!

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was today, along with the Georgetown Garden Tour. On Friday, I got a quick video of the fly over. I was a bit late to the party (had a meeting that went late)--but the Mall was packed with people. Very cool…just another perk for living and working in DC.

Kidney Walk & Komen Run

The National Kidney Foundation Walk took place this morning at the Georgetown waterfront. The Susan G. Komen 5K brought a ton of people down to the Mall. It was fun to run, despite the on and off sprinkling.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure May 11

You can still register in person today to run the 5K tomorrow. I hope the weather holds--possible thunderstorms.

Looks like it will be a huge event!

Way more tents than for the Avon walk.
Thanks to all of the rain we have had recently, the flood gates are up at Georgetown Waterfront. It is hard to tell from the picture, but the water level was just below the top of the boardwalk.

Potomac River was high this morning.
