Inline Skating Adventures Begin

We had the perfect weather on Saturday with temperatures into the 60s. We drove over to 44th Street, which dead-ends to Glover Park. We were all laced up, padded up, and ready to go. It didn't take too long to get the hang of it...everything but stopping. We both need to both practice this a bit more. Regardless, we're ready to skate in a more public venue such as Hains Point (East Potomac Park). Now we're just waiting for the weather to cooperate again (wintery snow mix forecast for tomorrow).

ED#31 Hives and Radishes

I have a couple of hives on my upper thigh. I am not sure what it is from, given I had chicken last night. Even so, I am forging ahead introducing radishes. I thinly sliced them, coated with avocado oil, and roasted them to perfection. Is it a delayed reaction to the sardines? Brussels sprouts? I will have to wait and see.

Tongues Panting Courtesy of High Heat

It has been really hot and humid the last couple of days...supposedly a break is coming by mid-week. Running in the morning is hot but bearable. In the afternoon, it is a slow walk/jog home. I can't bring myself to use the "running" setting on RunKeeper; instead, I set it to walk and always feel better when the app congratulates me on my "fast" pace.

Quiet Returned Safely Home

Yay! A kind neighbor saw him in the back alley--and thanks to the gazillion flyers we posted--called us. All is well again at the Simpson household.

Most Adorable Black Cornish Rex Cat Missing

Have you seen him? Our cat, Quiet, is black, with curly fur and big pointy ears. He is only about 8 pounds and is very friendly and vocal, despite his name. We think he got outside Friday night, 3/15/2013. If you live in the neighborhood, I'm sure you've seen the flyers plastered everywhere. Although an indoor cat, he seems adventurous and smart--so we are hoping for the best.
