Congratulations to the runners in the DC Rock 'n' Roll marathon and half-marathon. It was nice to just be an observer.

Snow to Summer
Just last week, we had one to three inches during the morning rush hour. This week, it has been in the 80s! This is typical DC--the master of extremes. The pictures include a tree in the neighborhood, the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.Monday, February 1, 2016
Running in Glover Park
We think our neighborhood is AWESOME--and The Washington Post agrees! They wrote a wonderful article highlighting the perks and featuring quotes from our neighbors. Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Barricade Situation = Gridlock Downtown
Crazy morning commute due to a woman firing a shot around midnight and holding up in a nearby office building.

Congrats Marine Corps Runners
The Marine Corps Marathon was yesterday--congrats to all of the runners! I caught a picture of the wheelchair racers from the Q Street bridge. Although a pain for cars to get around the city, it was fantastic for all non-race runners to take advantage of closed roads and much less traffic.

Running on Clearwater Beach
While DC was enjoying morning temperatures of ~35 degrees this past weekend, it was sunny, 65 and with a light breeze in Clearwater Beach, Fla. The sand is amazing. It was not crowded at all. We stayed at the Sandpearl Resort; the pool, hot tubs, food, and service are all fantastic! The best part was spending time with our daughter, Julia, for her fall break. Second best part was soaking up the sun and relaxing.
