Spring? Is that You?

Fifty degrees out for my morning run--shocking! It was overcast and misting, but I'll take that any day with the warmer temperatures. I saw very few remnants of the snow. Yay!

More Snow...Really?!

A snowy run this morning, with predictions between 1 - 3 inches. The meteorologist said it wouldn't stick--looks like it is sticking to me. :(

Downtown Ducks on L Street

These poor ducks were waddling down L Street, heading toward 20th Street. Beautiful run this morning--mid-40s with a promise of 60 degrees for my afternoon run home. It almost feels like spring.

Calm before Winter Storm Wiley!

Georgetown, M Street
This morning, my five-mile run was delightful, sunny and in the low 40s. However, Washington, DC, has not seen the last of winter quite yet. We are currently under a winter storm warning… the rain will start around 7pm, turning to sleet, wintery mix, and then snow. Accumulation was originally four to six inches, but has been reduced to three to five. Ugh. I need to be at work tomorrow for a slew of meetings; it will be an ugly, cold commute for sure (regardless of actual inches that stick).

Ice Sculpture Update: No Ice

Here is the tree on Saturday, amidst 60 degree weather. The ice has all melted…but is it alive?

Ice Sculptures near Federal Reserve Building

Today, the sky was blue and the temperature was in the balmy 40s. I came upon these bizarre ice trees on 21st Street NW near C Street NW.
