Pirates at the Georgetown Waterfront

Sunday's weather was glorious. There were a ton of people hanging out at the Georgetown waterfront, including many boats tied up along the boardwalk. Below is one of the more interesting ones...

Best Cobb Salad - South Troy Diner

While on our visit to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, we happened upon the cutest diner in the worst part of town. :) My cobb salad was the best I've ever had...not kidding. I should have taken a picture of it. There was at least a pound of roast beef and turkey, bacon, sliced hard boiled eggs, pickles, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I think it was the taste of the meat--extra yummy. Anyway, thank you South Troy Diner. I published a review and if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back!

Daughters of the American Revolution

This was the first time I noticed this statue outside of the Daughter of the American Revolution

Hot Mt. Vernon Trail

Running at 3pm in 98-degree weather is not a good idea. (My car was cooking slightly hotter, see below.) I made it about 2.8 miles along the Mt. Vernon Trail before walking the remaining 2.2 planned. I was shocked at how many fitness fanatical people were on the trail. My husband, who is ultra fit with a side of crazy, biked from our house all the way to Old Town to meet me and then biked back home.

Lehigh University!

Not a fan of the town, but the campus is beautiful. Home to Runner's World HQ...very hilly.

Penn State!

Great campus and excellent engineering opportunities! I believe it is officially on "the list."

Five-mile runs have been full of killer hills! It has been so fun to spend time with family and to relax.
