Still Snowing!

The meteorologists got it right! We woke up to two inches on the ground and it is still snowing. No delay from the federal government, probably because most schools are on spring break anyway.

Gym-Pact Update: Earned $2.17

Yay--but this week's bug won't let me do an "anywhere" workout. I had to record my run outside via RunKeeper. There will come a point when the effort is not worth the two bucks.

Good Morning, Georgetown Cupcake

In another lifetime, I'd love to own a bakery. Truth be told, I actually applied to work part-time at Georgetown Cupcake. Sadly, I did not hear a peep back from them.  Why are they looking at me? Surely, they get plenty of people taking pictures of their window front--maybe it was my running attire? goofy hat? time of day (6am)?

Quiet Returned Safely Home

Yay! A kind neighbor saw him in the back alley--and thanks to the gazillion flyers we posted--called us. All is well again at the Simpson household.

Most Adorable Black Cornish Rex Cat Missing

Have you seen him? Our cat, Quiet, is black, with curly fur and big pointy ears. He is only about 8 pounds and is very friendly and vocal, despite his name. We think he got outside Friday night, 3/15/2013. If you live in the neighborhood, I'm sure you've seen the flyers plastered everywhere. Although an indoor cat, he seems adventurous and smart--so we are hoping for the best.

Gym-Pact Update: Earned $2.03

I think this is an all-time low, $2.03. :) Although I never heard a response from the bug submissions, I'm happy that Gym-Pact counted my pact complete this week. I'm going to keep on, keeping on.

Gym-Pact has been buggy. I've reported three issues and haven't heard a word from the company. I hope this doesn't affect my pact--since I did in fact run everyday.

Georgetown Harbor Flood Walls Up

62 degrees today--magnificent weather for running. The flood walls were up, although the Potomac did not look that high. The rink is still in the process of being torn down.

Georgetown Ice Rink Closed

The Washington Harbour ice rink is now closed for the season. We thoroughly enjoyed it while it was here and cannot wait for next year.
