Transformers 3 Setting Up Shop in DC
Admittedly, I have not seen 1 or 2--so this doesn't really excite me. However, I did see in front of the Lincoln Memorial and along the reflecting pool that there were cameras, lighting panels, etc., set up. I assume it is for the movie. I'm sure I'll have more movie news this week; filming is through Friday.

Komen Breast Cancer 3-day Walk
It was nice to see groups of women all decked out in pink walking for an excellent cause. The weather was perfect too--mid 70s with a nice breeze.

Taste of Georgetown = crowds!
Taste of Georgetown and the beautiful weather brought big crowds to the area. People were everywhere.
You know how everyone feeds the squirrels and takes their pictures around the reflecting pool? Well, I saw this gentleman and his son trying to feed or play with this little field mouse. Its tail was twice as long as its body. Gross.

Breaking news, but I didn't know it!
OK, check my post on Oct. 4--that news van was for a reason...Howard Arenstein, CBS radio host, and his wife were arrested for possession of marijuana! I am motivated now more than ever to keep my eyes peeled and report back on this blog. :)

Warm, uneventful
Sunny and warm...quiet, uneventful run at 7:30am. Our nephews and their friend arrived this morning. They are looking at Georgetown University today, University of VA tomorrow. Steven is the best DC tour guide and has great advice about colleges/universities too.

Run Rain or Shine
Morning run was boring and wet with temperatures hovering 50. Afternoon run was dry and a comfortable 58--perfect running weather. I looked far and wide today for something interesting and the only thing I can report is that there was a TV van with a tall antenna on T Street between 36th and 35th. Odd, but not interesting.
Best thing about the rain? It means less tourists on my route! :)
