Fall has arrived

Hands down, fall is the best time to run in DC. I have been delinquent in getting this blog going--having seen many interesting things while running this summer. For example, I had the pleasure of running with a group of Marines at 6am downtown. The main advantage is that they do not stop for traffic lights, a runner goes ahead and stops traffic for the group. Love that!

On several occasions, the Secret Service have stopped car and pedestrian traffic near the back of the White House for the President or someone else very important to enter or exit. It is always fun to see a motorcade.

Another fine afternoon, I happened upon a high school running team along the Potomac and was given the high five when I reached the Georgetown waterfront.

And, finally, one not so lucky viewing was seeing a woman running near the Key Bridge wearing a soaked through white bra--not confining or hiding anything. I couldn't help but stare, and I'm surprised she didn't cause any accidents.

Biggest pet-peeve...if you hear me saying, Excuse me, excuse me, step to the right and let me quickly pass by. A few weeks ago, I scared a young gentleman who instead of stepping aside, stepped into me and grabbed my chest in the process. Of course, I let out a little shriek, but had to laugh. Good reflexes.
